Meet The Team!

My name is Wendy Brandenburg and I have been the Executive Director for the past five years. It is both my pleasure and my honor to be a part of an organization that provides for the elderly within our community. My philosophy for leading this organization is based on the foundation of ensuring that the services we provide allow our clients to know that their safety and well-being are our top priority. I take pride in knowing that we offer them the ability to live more independently and offer them peace and comfort knowing that someone is in their corner making sure they have access to the services, companionship, and nutrition that ensures their success.

I have been in the organization for 4 years now. Starting in the kitchen and working my way up to Assistant Director, this has been the most serving heart-warming job I've ever had. Helping seniors live life to the fullest, meet new people and eat good healthy food is fulfilling.

Hello! I am Cindy, the Activity Director at the Angelina County Senior Center. I help set up the bingo, crafts, exercise and gospel singing for our seniors. I love working with our seniors and look forward to seeing their smiling faces everyday!

My name is Kellie Harrison and I have been with the Senior Center for fourteen years. My positions over the years have changed but my dedication to this organization and the seniors that we served have never wavered. I strive daily to ensure that all I do is in love and with the best interests of those that we serve at heart. I am currently serving as both a Meals on Wheels delivery driver as well as in the position of Senior Office Support. This organization has been vital in providing meals and serving the seniors of Angelina County in numerous capacities and it has been both my privilege and greatest honor to be a part of that each day. I take tremendous pride in caring for all those that we serve as well as being a resource for the families in some of the most stressful moments of their lives. 

My name is Crystal Swanzy and I have been with the Senior Center for just over four years. I am currently serving as the Food Service Director, and I take pride in knowing that the food that we prepare is done so with love and meets all the nutritional requirements that the seniors within our community need. This organization is near and dear to my heart, and I strive to ensure that the meals my staff and I produce are meals that I would be confident and happy to serve to my own grandparents. This job is more than just a job, it is a blessing and one that I enjoy. I am truly thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this organization and for the responsibilities that God has placed in my path caring for the elderly of Angelina County.

My name is Pam Hooton and I have been with the Senior Center for just over two years. I work as the Activity Director for our Huntington location that is located within the Huntington Housing Authority. I am dedicated to the seniors at the Huntington Center, and I strive to ensure that their well-being is always a top priority. I consider being able to care for those that patron the Center a privilege that goes far beyond that of only providing a meal. I ensure that our clients have access to the education necessary to live independently and to make healthy lifestyle choices. I take great pride in working with these seniors and consider this position a vital role in the lives of those that I serve on a day-to-day basis.
